Description
The Museum of Independence Traditions in Lodz is one of the oldest and most important historical museums in the city, operating since 1959.
It has a rich collection of documents, photographs, paintings and sculptures related to the history of the Lodz region and independence traditions.
Particularly moving are the expositions in the Radogoszcz Martyrdom Unit, where you can see a reconstructed prison cell and personal items of prisoners from the German occupation.
The museum also offers exhibitions at Radegast Station, dedicated to the history of the Litzmannstadt Ghetto, with original German locomotives and freight cars.
