Description

The Wojciech Kętrzyn Museum is one of the oldest museums in the Warmia and Mazury region, established in 1946. It is housed in a restored Teutonic Knights castle, which adds a unique historical atmosphere to the visit.

The museum boasts rich collections related to the history of the city and the region - from sculptures dating back to the 15th century, to numismatics, to traditional furnishings of the Masurian countryside.

In the summer, the St. James Medieval Fair is held here, with workshops of traditional crafts and music, allowing one to be transported back in time. The permanent exhibition 'Ketrzyn - City on the Railway' is a treat for railroad and local history enthusiasts.
