Description

The Rzuchow Palace is a unique historical monument built in 1888 by Heinrich Himmler. This two-story yellow brick building impresses with its semicircular arches, decorative cornices and distinctive tower with a sharp spike.

The picturesque park surrounding the palace hides exotic shrubs and a 250-year-old oak tree, which is the only natural monument in the area. The building has been beautifully restored after war damage.

Today, the palace houses an elegant hotel and restaurant, where you can enjoy meals overlooking the park. It's an ideal place for lovers of history, architecture and quiet relaxation surrounded by nature.

avatarseba pl3 years agoThe palace in Rzuchów, built in 1888, is returning to its former glory. In 2010, the monument was bought by a businessman from Rybnik, Janusz Gładysz. Before World War II, there was an elite school for girls here. During World War II, the palace housed the command of a women's labor camp. After the war until the middle In the 1990s there was an orphanage. Later, the palace was unlucky and gradually degraded until 2015, when renovation began. According to the press information, guests are welcome, but I was put off by the sign "private area - no entry allowed"...
avatarGrzegorz R.3 years agoThe palace was unlucky with its owners for a long time. The building dates back to the end of the 19th century (1888), was built as a manor palace, and is made of clinker bricks, which is rare for this type of buildings. Its façade is faced with decorative yellow brick. The monument is surrounded by a landscape park with numerous old trees. In its area there is the only pedunculate oak in the Kornowac commune, which is about 250 years old. Today, it is worth mentioning, it has finally been restored. Its new owners are currently renovating it. Already in the coming years, as can be read in the local press, "The Palace in Rzuchów may become the first energy-autonomous historic building in Poland, based on modern technical solutions of Renewable Energy Sources." This was the goal set by the Foundation, which was established at the palace and headed by its president, Janusz Gładysz. If everything comes to fruition, the Rzuchów palace will undoubtedly be a showcase of the town and the entire Kornowac commune. If only the owner had enough perseverance, money and willingness to renovate the facility. There is no problem with entering the area. If you are lucky and there are employees, you can go inside.
