Description
The Grudziadz Castle - Branch of the Grudziadz Museum is a fascinating monument dating back to the 13th century, originally built by the Teutonic Knights on the site of a Slavic stronghold.
The impressive 30-meter-high Klimek tower and preserved fragments of the defensive walls take you back to the times of medieval knights. The trapezoidal shape of the castle with four wings surrounding the courtyard testifies to the craftsmanship of the builders of the time.
This is a place where the history of Poland and the Teutonic Order intertwine into one story. Visiting the ruins, you can feel the spirit of past centuries and learn about the castle's strategic role in defending against the Prussian tribes.
