Description
The Memorial Monument is a moving monument commemorating Polish citizens who fell victim to Soviet aggression during World War II.
Its unique design depicts a pile of religious symbols (Catholic and Orthodox crosses, as well as Jewish and Muslim symbols) placed on a railroad car, symbolizing the multinational and multi-religious nature of the Eastern Borderlands.
Each railroad pad contains the names of the places from which Poles were deported, as well as the names of the camps and places of exile. This is not only a monument, but a history lesson about the suffering and courage of the Polish people.
