Description

The Eastern Theater is a unique venue on the cultural map of Lublin, housed in the oldest surviving theater in Poland after the Helena Modrzejewska Theater in Krakow. The building, which dates back to 1822 and was designed in the classicist style, impresses with its facade with bas-reliefs of masks and griffins.

After extensive renovation (2007-2012), the theater offers a rich program of cultural events - from traditional performances to experimental art forms. The interdisciplinary nature and educational approach mean that there is something for everyone.

The theater also serves as a space for artists and cultural animators from Poland and abroad, promoting cross-cultural exchange and cooperation.
