Passadiços do Paiva Trailhead (Areinho)

Passadiços do Paiva Trailhead (Areinho) is a unique hiking trail in Portugal, stretching 8.7 km along the Paiva River.

The wooden paths lead through an area recognized by UNESCO as a Geological Heritage of Humanity, offering breathtaking views of the river gorge and Aguieira Falls.

During the hike, visitors can admire unique flora and fauna, including species endangered in Europe. For the adventurous, an additional attraction is the 516 Arouca Bridge, an impressive structure suspended 175 meters above the river.
