Description
Parque Natural Jandía is a fascinating nature reserve on the southern tip of Fuerteventura.
Originally a separate volcanic island, this unique area offers a variety of landscapes from sandy dunes to majestic mountains. A trail to the highest peak, Pico de la Zarza, provides panoramic views of the wild Cofete beach and the entire area.
The park is home to endemic plant and animal species, including rare birds. You'll also find traces of Aboriginal culture in the form of stone houses and caves that formed the boundary between the former kingdoms of Jandía and Maxorata.
