Parque Natural do Douro Internacional

Parque Natural do Douro Internacional is one of the largest protected areas in Portugal, stretching along the Douro River on the border with Spain.

This scenic park impresses with its dramatic landscape with deep river valleys, steep cliffs and rocky geological formations.

Nature lovers can enjoy the rich biodiversity - more than 170 species of wild birds, including falcons, black storks and vultures, as well as wolves, wild cats and otters.
