Description

Parque Nacional Volcán Arenal is a unique national park in Costa Rica, offering an unforgettable experience for nature and outdoor enthusiasts.

The park is home to two volcanoes: the currently dormant Arenal (1,633 meters) and Cerro Chato (1140 meters), which has been inactive for 3,500 years. The park is famous for its hot thermal springs, lush rainforests and impressive biodiversity.

Visitors can observe howler monkeys, white-faced capuchins, tapirs and numerous species of birds. Well-marked trails lead through ancient lava fields and secondary forests, providing spectacular views of the volcano and Lake Arenal.
