Description
Uzhanskiy National Park is a true pearl of the Ukrainian Carpathians, where nature delights in its pure form. Stretching over 39,000 hectares, the area hides unique UNESCO-listed beech forests and a wealth of more than 1,500 plant species, including 22 endemic ones.
The park offers 17 marked trails that lead through picturesque beech forests, alder forests and alpine meadows. Nature lovers can observe deer, roe deer, wild boar and more than 114 species of birds.
An additional attraction is the wooden Orthodox churches of the 17th-18th centuries, which are a testament to the rich culture of the Lemkos who inhabited the area.
