Description
Parque Natural das Serras de Aire e Candeeiros is a geological paradise in the heart of Portugal. This unique national park is famous for its impressive karst formations and more than 1,500 caves that will delight any nature and geology lover.
The park's biggest attraction is the world's largest collection of dinosaur footprints from the Jurassic period, 175 million years old. Hiking and biking trails allow visitors to discover picturesque landscapes, and adventurers can explore the fascinating Mira de Aire caves.
Despite the seemingly dry landscape, the park is home to 18 species of bats and a rich biodiversity, making it an ideal destination for wildlife enthusiasts.
