Description
The High Taurian National Park is the largest national park in Central Europe, stretching across Tyrol, Carinthia and Salzburg in Austria.
It is a true paradise for lovers of nature and active recreation. Majestic peaks, including Grossglockner (3798 m) and Grossvenediger (3666 m), Austria's largest glacier, the Shepherd, and more than 551 mountain lakes create breathtaking scenery.
The park is famous for its Krimml waterfalls, nature trails and rich biodiversity - some 15,000-20,000 animal species and a third of all Austria's native plants can be found here.
