Description
Lemmenjoki National Park is the largest national park in Finland and one of the largest in Europe, covering an area of 2,850 km².
It is a true paradise for wildlife lovers - old pine forests, vast peat bogs and the picturesque Lemmenjoki River create an unforgettable landscape. The park is famous for its history of gold prospecting - you can visit the gold trail and try your own hand at panning.
It is also a place of great cultural significance for the indigenous Sami people. While hiking along one of the 60 km of marked trails, you can enjoy wildlife and phenomena such as the aurora borealis and the midnight sun.
