Description
Neşet Suyu Nature Park is a charming park located in the Belgrade forest in Istanbul. Named after Professor Neşet Bey, a prominent Turkish forester, it offers 67.47 hectares of natural beauty.
The park delights with its rich flora and fauna - oaks, hornbeams as well as wild boar, deer and numerous species of birds. Activity enthusiasts will appreciate the 6-kilometer trail ideal for running and walking.
The park includes historic water cisterns and the remains of a prayer site (namazgah), which are registered as protected cultural heritage. Well-equipped picnic areas and playgrounds make it an ideal place for family recreation.
