Balaton-felvidéki Nemzeti Park Igazgatóság is a unique nature reserve in Hungary, covering an area of nearly 57,000 hectares.
The park is famous for its diverse landscapes, including six protected areas: Kis-Balaton, Keszthely Hills, Tapolca and Káli Basins, Pécsely Basin and Tihany Peninsula.
The site impresses with its unique geological formations, rich biodiversity and international recognition - the Tihany Peninsula has received the European Diploma for exceptional geological value, and part of the park is part of the UNESCO Geoparks Network.
