Description
The Triglav National Park is the only national park in Slovenia, covering 838 km² of the scenic Julian Alps. Its symbol is the peak of Triglav (2864 meters above sea level), which even appears on the Slovenian flag.
The park impresses with its variety of landscapes - from glacial valleys and steep mountain ridges to alpine meadows and crystal clear lakes. Nature lovers will appreciate the abundance of flora and fauna - more than 7,000 animal species and 1,600 plant species.
Discover magical places like the Soča River, Kozjak Waterfall, Lake Bohinj and Tolmin Gorge. Also learn about the local legend of the mythical goat Zlatorog with a golden horn that blinded hunters with its brilliance.
