Description

Sumava National Park is a unique nature reserve located in the southwestern part of the Czech Republic, bordering Austria and Germany.

It delights with ancient primary forests, including the famous Boubínský forest, which has remained intact for hundreds of years. Its tangled roots and twisted branches are reminiscent of the fairy tale forests of the Brothers Grimm.

In addition to the forests, the park offers the picturesque glacial lakes Čertovo (Devil's) and Černé (Black) and mysterious peat bogs. As a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, Šumava is an ideal destination for hikers and cyclists.
