Description
Abisko National Park is a true gem of Swedish Lapland, located north of the Arctic Circle. This small (77 km²), but extremely diverse park impresses with landscapes of alpine meadows, heathland and rocky terrain on the shores of Lake Torneträsk.
It is one of the best places in the world to observe the aurora borealis, especially from the Abisko Blue Station. The park is intersected by the famous Kungsleden (King's Path) trail, offering an unforgettable experience for hikers, cross-country skiers and snowshoers.
The abundance of flora and fauna, including reindeer, wolverines and polar foxes, makes every visit a fascinating adventure in Arctic nature.

dmm bandulahewa.a week agoThis is actually more than five stars. You should go there in summer. Otherwise there is only snow to see. In summer it's such a paradise. If you're living in Sweden add this to your bucket list. The road view is fantastic and extremely beautiful. I give five Stars to Abisko waterfall too. Here I have attached some photos for you. You have to take a hike there. Be ready for it. If I saw something ugly, it was big annoying mosquitos all around me asking me to feed them. If I didn't hold tight, sure they take me with them 🤣.
Mark Deming4 months agoVery cool place went to ice fest at Fjellkysten’s guesthouse and went here for a detour before heading north. Cool Sami exhibit delicious burger and climbing in the canyon made for an amazing time.
