Description
King Michael I Park is a picturesque area in the northern part of Bucharest, covering an impressive 187 hectares, of which 74 hectares is Lake Herăstrău.
The park was opened in 1936 after draining the former marshlands. It is divided into two zones: a rustic one with the Village Museum and a public one for recreation.
Here you can rent a boat, stroll through the charming alleys, visit the Village Museum showcasing traditional Romanian rural architecture, or visit Elisabeth Palace, the residence of the Romanian royal family.
