Description
Parc du Champ de Mars is a charming park in the heart of Colmar, offering respite amidst vast green spaces.
Its centerpiece is an impressive fountain designed by the famous sculptor Frédéric-Auguste Bartholdi, depicting Admiral Armand Joseph Bruat and allegories of the four continents.
The park impresses with its historic character - it was originally a public promenade established in 1745 outside the city walls. Children will love the modern playground and the unique carousel with an enclosed gallery, the only one of its kind in Europe. For history buffs, the sculptures of General Jean Rapp and Admiral Bruat will be a treat.
