Description
The Lednice Palace is an architectural gem in the Neo-Gothic style that belonged to the Liechtenstein family for nearly 700 years.
The interiors impress with richly decorated ceilings, original antique furnishings and the famous 36-step wooden staircase in the library, made without the use of nails.
The park surrounding the chateau, which covers almost 200 hectares, is one of the largest in Europe and is full of romantic structures, such as the Minaret lookout tower and the artificial ruins of Janův hrad castle.
The Lednice-Valtice complex has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996.
