Description
The Potocki Palace is an architectural gem of Lviv, combining Neoclassical and Baroque styles. Built in the 19th century for Alfred Jozef Potocki, it impresses with its three-story mass with a high mansard roof and richly decorated facades.
The interiors, maintained in the Louis XVI style, delight with splendor - the Red, Dance, Blue and Mirror Rooms are decorated with stucco, gilding and colorful marble. Walls covered with silk provide a backdrop for works by European masters.
Today, the palace houses a branch of the Lviv National Art Gallery with a collection of European paintings from the 14th to 18th centuries.
