Fundătura Ponorului

Fundătura Ponorului is a magical karst valley located in the Șureanu Mountains at an altitude of 900 meters, in the heart of the Grădiștea Muncelului-Cioclovina Natural Park.

This place impresses with its picturesque landscapes, where a serpentine winding stream disappears underground at the foot of limestone walls, forming the largest known caves in the Șurean mountains.

The valley is called the 'Hand of God' and offers an unforgettable experience for nature lovers and photographers. The Via Transilvanica trail leads through this enchanting corner, offering the opportunity to enjoy wildlife and traditional Romanian life.
