Englischer Garten is one of the largest urban parks in the world, spread over 375 hectares in the heart of Munich.
Established in 1789, it impresses with its natural English-style landscape, with numerous attractions like Monopteros, a Greek temple overlooking the city skyline, and Chinesischer Turm, an 18th-century pagoda with a popular beer garden.
It's a lively place where you can surf the famous Eisbach wave, play volleyball on the expansive lawns or simply relax in the shade of the trees.

Nika Kapanadze2 weeks agoThis is, without a doubt, the best place in Munich. It's a massive, beautiful urban park that feels like a world away from the city. You could easily spend an entire day here relaxing, walking, or watching the surfers.
Ramy Ragaba month agoThe English Garden is one of the best places to visit in Munich. It’s a huge, green park right in the middle of the city. I really enjoyed walking there and relaxing in the fresh air.
There are beautiful trees, lakes, and open spaces, perfect for walking, cycling, or just sitting and enjoying nature. I loved watching people surf on the small river wave — it’s something very unique!
