Ounasvaara Winter Trail

Ounasvaara Winter Trail is a scenic winter trail located just 2 kilometers from downtown Rovaniemi. The perfectly marked 8.6-kilometer trail leads through snowy spruce forests and rocky landscapes, offering breathtaking panoramic views.

The trail is accessible to all levels of walkers, from leisurely strolls to more challenging hikes. There are observation towers, shelters, fire pits and woodsheds along the trail.

You can also go cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, and if you're lucky, spot Arctic hares among the trees.
