The abandoned Zofiówka Jewish Institution for the Nervously and Mentally Ill is a fascinating historical facility in Otwock, established in 1908 thanks to a donation from Sophia Endelman.

It is a place with a tragic history - during World War II, patients and staff were murdered or deported to Treblinka. After the war, until the 1990s, it functioned as a treatment center for adolescents with neuropsychiatric disorders.

Today, the abandoned buildings attract lovers of photography and urban exploring with their unique, somewhat dark atmosphere and echoes of the past echoing in the empty corridors.
