Description
The Old Wall of Paris is a fascinating monument to the city's medieval history. Built between 1190 and 1213 at the behest of King Philip II Augustus, it was a powerful fortification protecting Paris.
The best-preserved 120-meter section of the wall is located in the Marais district on Rue des Jardins Saint-Paul. The impressive structure, 6-8 meters high and 3 meters thick, was reinforced with 77 semicircular towers spaced every 60 meters.
This is a great opportunity to touch an authentic piece of medieval Paris and travel back in time to the age of knights and kings.
