Description
The Silesia War Zone is a unique network of Polish fortifications built in the interwar period along the Polish-German border in Upper Silesia.
The defense system was divided into three parts (A, B, C) and consisted of nine defense points with bunkers connected by transzeji. In addition, between 1935 and 1937, a system of dams, ponds and canals along the Brynica River was created to stop German armored units.
It's a fascinating site for military history buffs, offering insight into Poland's defense strategies prior to World War II and highlighting the strategic importance of the industrialized Upper Silesia region.
