Gaustabanen

Gaustabanen is a unique cable car hidden inside Mount Gaust in Norway. Built in 1958 by NATO as part of Cold War-era infrastructure, today it offers an unforgettable experience for tourists.

The journey begins with a ride of 850 meters into the mountain, after which the cable car ascends at a 39-degree angle to an altitude of 1,800 meters above sea level.

From the vantage point at the top, in good weather, you can view as much as 1/6th of mainland Norway! It's the perfect combination of historical curiosity and breathtaking views.
