Description
North Coast Visitor Center is a fascinating place in the heart of Thurso, housed in the historic former Carnegie City Hall and Library building.
The center offers a unique journey through the history of the Caithness region - from the Devonian period to the present day. Here you can admire Pictish stones, a collection of artifacts by local botanist Robert Dick, and exhibitions on the history of Dounreay.
Additional attractions include a gallery with regularly changing exhibitions and the Cafe North, where visitors can relax with coffee and pastries. Admission is free, although donations are welcome.
