Description

The Birmingham Botanical Gardens is a 15-acre botanical garden filled with extraordinary plants from around the world.

Four impressive greenhouses showcase plants from a variety of climate zones - from tropical to desert. Among the 7,000 species is the British National Bonsai Collection, including a 250-year-old specimen of Juniperus chinensis.

The garden, designed in the style of a Victorian public park, delights with a Loudon terrace overlooking the main lawn and a historic gazebo from the 19th century. There are nature trails and a playground for families.
