Description
Sea Grass Zone is a unique ecological zone located in Hat Chao Mai - Mu Koh Libong National Park. It is the largest and most diverse seagrass area in Thailand and is a key feeding and breeding ground for the endangered dugong (sea cow).
It is a true paradise for nature lovers and those interested in marine conservation. The ecosystem is home to 268 species of fish, 265 species of plants and many other sea creatures.
Interestingly, seagrass meadows absorb more carbon dioxide than other ecosystems, playing an important role in the fight against climate change.
