Description

Santuario de Mamíferos Marinos de la Bahía de Samaná is one of the most important marine reserves in the world, where you can observe majestic Humpback whales in their natural habitat.

From January to March, whales come here from the North Atlantic to breed and give birth to their young, creating an unforgettable spectacle of nature.

In addition to whales, the reserve is also home to sperm whales, manatees and bottlenose dolphins. The area also offers other attractions - picturesque beaches, palm forests and the Salto del Limón waterfall.
