Lardon Chase

Lardon Chase is a scenic nature reserve located on the edge of the Berkshire Downs, offering breathtaking views of the Thames Valley and surrounding countryside.

This unique place is famous for its chalk grasslands, which are some of the best preserved in Berkshire. In spring and summer, you can admire rare species of butterflies, including blue, marbled and rodent butterflies, as well as a variety of orchids and other wildflowers.

For outdoor enthusiasts, there are several hiking trails of varying difficulty. The area is dog-friendly, although a leash is required in some places.
