Góra Tâmpa

Tâmpa Mountain is a picturesque peak rising 960 meters above sea level, towering over the Romanian city of Brasov. This limestone and dolomite massif is a true paradise for lovers of nature and active recreation.

As a nature reserve, it protects a wealth of flora and fauna, including rare species of butterflies (35% of all Romanian species!) and bears.

Well-marked trails of varying difficulty lead to the summit, and the panorama from the top is breathtaking - in good weather you can see the entire land of Burzenland. A cable car is available for less skilled hikers.
