Description

National Trust - Castle Ward is a unique 18th century estate, combining two architectural styles - Classical Palladian at the front and Gothic Georgian at the back.

It is not only a historical monument, but also the site where scenes for the TV series 'Game of Thrones' were filmed - the local farmhouse was transformed into the fictional Winterfell.

On 820 acres you'll find picturesque gardens, 32 km of walking and biking trails, a Victorian laundry, theater, restaurant and mill. Nature lovers will enjoy the Secret Shoreline Nature Trail and children will enjoy the woodland playground.
