National Trust - Box Hill is a unique peak in the county of Surrey, offering breathtaking views of the English countryside.
This place is famous for its rich biodiversity - 38 species of butterflies and 17 species of orchids. Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the numerous walking trails, including the Natural Play Trail ideal for families with children.
Historical attractions, such as 19th century Fort Box Hill and Broadwood's Folly, add to the area's mysterious charm. The famous zigzag road, which was part of the cycling route during the 2012 Olympics, attracts cycling enthusiasts from all over the country.

Drive to Dorking RH5 6BY Burford Bridge Hotel or take train. Then the path start just next to the hotel.
There is parking available, make sure take coins for 8 hours parking it's around 10 pounds. There are free parking as well but not available often
Sal Munur3 months agoVery challenging hike with lots of steep sections and stairs galore. Personally, I was expecting spectacular views throughout, but I was pretty disappointed to find it's mostly just forest with a couple of great views here and there
Ralph Fleming2 months agoSuch a magical space, went Bankrupt Holiday Monday and it was very busy, but that didn't detract from the wonderful sights. Very steep steps to the stepping stones, but there is a gentler route down. Go a bit off the main tracks to see the real beauty.Related categories
