Park Narodowy Picos de Europa

The Picos de Europa National Park is a true paradise for mountain hikers and wildlife lovers.

Straddling three Spanish regions, the park impresses with its limestone massifs, the highest of which, Torre de Cerredo, reaches 2648 meters above sea level. The famous Cares Trail follows the river through scenic waterfalls and caves.

Rare animal species can be found in the park, including the Cantabrian bear and chamois. The Covadonga lakes are also worth a visit, as well as sampling local cheeses such as Cabrales and Valdeón.
