Pădurea Verde

Pădurea Verde is a picturesque urban forest located in the northeastern part of Timisoara, covering an area of about 724 hectares.

Established in 1860 by the Hungarian Forestry Service, this green corner offers excellent conditions for active recreation. Pedunculate oaks and ash trees dominate the area, and among the rare plants you can find the orchid - narrow-leafed bunting.

The forest is intersected by a 2.6-kilometer-long stream that feeds Dumbrăvița Lake, creating an ideal place for picnics. Well-marked trails for cyclists and hikers allow you to safely explore the delights of this natural treasure of Romania.
