Madeira Natural Park

The Natural Park of Madeira is a UNESCO-listed area renowned for its extraordinary diversity of landscapes. Its landmarks are the unique forests of Laurissilva, with more than 500 endemic species of invertebrates, and the historic levadas - irrigation canals dating back to the 16th century that today serve as scenic hiking trails.

The park offers spectacular views from the sea cliffs, fascinating rock formations and opportunities to observe dolphins, whales and sea turtles. For activity enthusiasts, there are hiking trails of varying difficulty, as well as opportunities for canyoning or paragliding.
