Muzeum Sztuki w Bazylei

The Basel Museum of Art is the oldest public art museum in the world, dating back to 1661.

Its impressive collection of more than 4,000 works includes masterpieces by masters such as Hans Holbein the Younger, Vincent van Gogh, Rembrandt and Claude Monet.

The museum's architecture combines the historic Hauptbau building from 1936 with the modern Neubau opened in 2016. Especially noteworthy are the unique collection of seven works by Picasso and the impressive landscapes of the Swiss Alps. It is a true feast for art lovers from the Renaissance to the present.
