Description

The National Museum of Romanian History is a fascinating journey through the history of Romania from prehistoric times to the present. It is housed in the historic Post Palace in Bucharest.

Its 8,000 square meters in 60 exhibition halls feature unique exhibits, including an impressive 1:1 scale replica of Trajan's Column, depicting 155 scenes from the emperor's life over a length of 190 meters.

A real gem is the Treasure of Pietroasele, a collection of gold artifacts dating back to the 4th century, and the Crown Crowns, displaying the coronation insignia of the Romanian royal family.

avatarVictor Alexandrua week agoA must-visit for anyone interested in Romanian history! The staff at the ticket counter are friendly. The museum has some of the most important historical artifacts related to Romanian history. There are also excellent temporary exhibitions worth seeing. However, some of the interior staff, like security, seemed a bit unfriendly and rushed to close 10min early. Overall, this is a must-visit and highly recommended!
avatarDina6 months agoThe museum impresses with its atmosphere and rich history! 🏛️ It’s a true journey into the past, where every exhibit tells its own story. The jewelry pieces, especially the masterpieces from Cartier 💍, were particularly striking. The museum also features a column that details the confrontation between the Dacians and Romans ⚔️. It’s not just a museum, but a true time travel experience that allows you to deeply understand the culture and heritage of this country. The ticket costs 20 lei. If you’re in Romania, it’s definitely worth a visit!
