Description
The Museum of Western Lesser Poland in Wygielzow is a fascinating complex combining the Ethnographic Park of Western Krakowiaks with the ruins of the medieval Lipowiec Castle.
On an area of 5 hectares, you can admire 25 examples of traditional wooden architecture, including country cottages, a blacksmith shop, an oil mill and a church from Ryczów (1623). A special attraction is the larch mansion from Drogini (1730), showing a typical nobleman's residence from the 19th century.
The museum organizes chamber music concerts, folklore performances and workshops for children, which introduce the history and culture of the region in an interactive way.
