Description
Kwidzyn Castle is a fascinating monument dating back to the 13th century, which impresses with its unique Gothic architecture. A distinctive feature is the Gdanisker tower - a medieval latrine 54 meters away from the main body of the castle, which also served as the last point of defense during attacks.
Today, the castle functions as a museum with interesting archaeological and ethnographic exhibitions and a porcelain collection. Visitors can explore the Gothic cellars, the prison tower and the former dormitories and chancellery of the Pomezanian chapter.
For lovers of history and medieval architecture, this is a real treat that takes you into the fascinating world of the Teutonic Order.
