Volkskundemuseum

Volkskundemuseum is a fascinating museum in Bruges that takes visitors back in time to the 19th and early 20th centuries.

Located in restored workers' houses from the 17th century, it offers a unique experience of learning about the daily life of the people of Bruges. Here you can see a former school classroom, a pharmacy, a tailor's workshop or a confectionery store.

The museum is especially family-friendly - children can try out old-time games, practice calligraphy or weigh coffee on an old scale. On select Thursdays, you can even watch a confectioner prepare traditional sweets, filling the museum with sweet aroma.
