Description

The Queen Louise Tunnel is a fascinating monument to 19th-century coal mining in Zabrze.

Discover two unique tourist routes: the Family Route with a ride on the authentic mining train 'Karlik' and a meeting with the legendary Treasurer, and the Water Route with the longest underground boat ride in Poland at a distance of 1,100 meters.

Feel the chill of the underground (14-16°C), hear the dripping of water and see real, working mining machinery. This is an unforgettable journey into the depths of Silesian history and culture!

avatarMargarita Za month agoIt was a very interesting tour of the coal mine. We had a boat ride through an underground river. First, we went by boat, then walked, and finally were taken back up from underground by a suspended monorail train. Our 6-year-old child wasn’t scared and really enjoyed it. I recommend buying tickets in advance on the website, as all tours are scheduled, and you won’t be able to buy tickets on-site.
avatarJonah Novosada year agoIt was so much fun to be in a boat underground like where else would get a underground boat ride. Also the fact that there is so much history surrounding the mine. Its also so cool that there is vines underground and plants underground. The only thing that is scary 😨 is that there are spiders 🕷.
avatarWioletta N.a year agoGreat experience under Zabrze town! You will need 2.5h to visit Sztolnia Luiza (Luiza's adit)- XIX century excavation. Tourists who want to visit the adit must walk part of the route (about 900 meters) and cover the rest of the route (about 1100 meters) by boat, traveling through a narrow corridor. Here, you can see underground ports, so-called passing places, and vegetation (ferns and moss) that grow without sunlight. Book your tickets in advance! For families with younger children other attractions would be probably a better choice.
