Description
Rochow-Museum is a unique cultural site located in the former castle of the noble von Rochow family. The museum is dedicated to the life and work of Friedrich Eberhard von Rochow and his wife Christiane Louise, who pioneered educational reforms during the Age of Enlightenment.
The permanent exhibition 'Reason for the People' presents their contributions to educational and agricultural reform. The museum is part of a unique cultural complex that includes the castle (1729), the court park (circa 1730), the old manor house (1605), the church (1741) and the school building (1773).
The 'Rochow-Grotte' pedagogical workshop offers hands-on activities such as paper making and working with clay.
