Niemieckie Muzeum Górnictwa

The German Mining Museum is one of the most important museums in Germany, attracting some 400,000 visitors a year.

An impressive collection of 250,000 exhibits related to mining history, technology and culture can be admired on an area of more than 12,000 m².

The biggest attraction is the 1.2 km of underground corridors, where you can experience the life of miners. Four main thematic routes: Coal, Mining, Mineral Resources and Art, offer a comprehensive overview of the industrial heritage of the Ruhr region.
