Description
The Vasa Museum is a fascinating place where you can admire the only almost fully preserved warship from the 17th century. This 64-oared ship sank during its maiden voyage in 1628, and was excavated in 1961.
The museum offers interactive exhibits that detail the story of the ship's construction, its tragic sinking and the lives of the people who sailed on it. More than 98% of the ship's original construction survives today, including impressive carvings and details.
This is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in Sweden's maritime history and feel the atmosphere of the golden age of the Swedish empire.
